Founded in 2011 as an extension of Medavie’s commitment to deliver community-centred care, the Medavie Foundation is focused on improving access to equitable, culturally aligned care in the areas of:

Post-traumatic stress
Youth mental health

Since its inception in 2011, the Medavie Foundation has invested more than $800,000 in community-centred initiatives in NL.
In 2024, Medavie Foundation invested over $150,000 in NL organizations, including the 2025 Canada Games and Food First NL. Food First NL is a provincial non-profit organization dedicated to improving access and advancing everyone’s right to food in NL. A highlight of this collaboration has been the Community Food Initiative Support Program ― a joint effort to improve local food program design and delivery in partnership with other grassroots, community-led organizations.
